Components of these tissues include (but are not limited to): growth factors, cytokines, mesenchymal stem cells, exosomes, HA (hyaluronic acid), collagens, and scaffolding. The intended use is for the repair, reconstruction, replacement, or supplementation of a recipient's cells or tissues; and to physically serve as a barrier or conduit, or connect, cover, or cushion a damaged tissue.

Perinatal tissues and allografts are much easier to apply, and research shows they contain more viable components than autografts obtained from the patient's own adipose tissue or bone marrow.
